Happy (sad) last day of FFF *sniffles* I love this blog party so much and it's always sad to see it end... But there's always next year! Housekeeping! First of all, be sure and head over to Kate Willis’ blog to find all the blog stops (a free book will be offered each day)! Second, be sure to enter the giveaway! Third, read on! Disclaimer: I don’t endorse every book mentioned on the blogs in this tour. I haven’t read them all 😊 But if you have any questions about one, feel free to ask. If I’ve read it, I will let you know my thoughts and if not, I’ll get you what information I can! I have read so many good books this year and I hope to read many more, but today, I will show you the five top reads I've had this year! After Our Castle by Kellyn Roth This book y'all...every young wife should read it, tbh... It was a huge blessing to me in a lot of out of context ways, but it made sense to me, sooooo *halo* I do recommend this book for adult audiences only, it's clean, but heavy. Goodreads Link The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark by Various Authors I was not expecting this book to be so good! It was an excellent, fast read for such a thick book! It's a lovely addition for any lover of the Clone Wars series! (I may have bought my own copy after finishing it XD) Goodreads Link As the Crow Flies by Jess Mastorakos Jess Mastorakos is easily one of my favorite authors, honestly. I don't read much romance, but I read more of hers than anyone else! I love her military/veteran stories and this one? This one is by far my favorite *hugs book* I've been waiting for Riley's happily ever after for three books and this one did not disappoint! Goodreads Link The Librarian's Ruse by Thirzah THIS BOOK IS NOT GETTING THE HYPE IT DESERVES! I absolutely loved this book and y'all I need book two pronto! Mystery, intrigue, royals, librarians, MISTAKEN IDENTITY THAT'S ACTUALLY COOL! Just hurry up and buy it already... Goodreads Link Naruto 53: The Birth of Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto This book...it's...you would need to read them all to get the full emotional empact but... idk... maybe it's because I'm a mom now, it feels weird saying that, but this book has my heart and it won't give it back... Goodreads Link And with that, FFF comes to a close one more. What are your favorites of 2023 so far?
Have a blessed Day! Ryana Lynn Jer. 29:11 Sorry my posts have been kinda formulaic this week, gotta keep things simple with a busy toddler on my hands! But she's down for the night and I can personalize this one a little! I'm getting so many good book recs this week! I have so many posts to catch up on and I'm trying to reply to all of your comments! Thank you for your kind words and awesome book recs! And now housekeeping! I love indie fiction so much and all of my recs today are indie! And I'm rather happy with this line up, so lets dive in Leviathan by Brian McBride Y'all, this series is absolutely stunning! A lovely New Adult series that began last year, I am honored to have an advanced review copy waiting on my kindle (just gotta rap up a few library borrows first)! If you love adventure, Nancy Drew/Hardy Boy vibes and treasure hunting, please, join the fandom *grins impishly* Goodreads Link The Lost Rose by Victoria Lynn I don't have a cover for this book, so I'm using the first in the series! Victoria started publishing this series last year and I'm so excited for the third book to release! Victoria deals with heavy topics with an abundance of hope and compassion. Highly recommend. Goodreads Series Link Undercover Princess by Olivia JarmuschI am so so excited for this up and coming release from Livy! I'm currently enjoying her Tales of Tarsurella Series and I cannot wait for this spin-off Middle Grade series! (I've already pre-ordered my copy! Goodreads Link The Colors of Rain by Abigail Hagven There's no link for this book yet, but this debut novel is coming this fall (date pending!) and the lovely author is getting married this week! I can't wait to read this lovely YA contemporary! Goodreads Link Pending Oh, the Lamented by Abigail Kay Harris This is not the updated cover, but I don't have it yet and I'm not sure if it's public yet... Anyway! This is the Goodreads cover. I'm not sure when this book will release, but y'all, I'm so excited for this military series to release *hugs my prequel copy* Goodreads Link What are upcoming books are you looking forward to? Are you sad to see FFF coming to a close? Come back tomorrow for my final post!
Have a Blessed Day! Ryana Lynn Jer. 29:11 It’s that time of year! I love the FFF Blog Linkup and I’m excited to participate again this year! I love indie books, y'all. I adore it. I even write indie! So this category is my favorite this go round! You'll probably know most of these books, but that's okay! That just means they are really good and worth your time *halo* Stop the Rain This will always be my number one Indie pick! It's my favorite book ever and I seriously doubt that will every change! If you love the military, appreciate accurate depictions of PTSD and really just need a good cry, this is the book for you! Goodreads Link Treasured in Turtle Bay by Jess Mastorakos I recommend this author for mature audiences, but Mrs. Mastorakos is hilarious and a romance genius XD I've yet to read a book by her that didn't have me laughing out loud. There are occasional steamy references, but no spice ;) Love the military references and all the different tropes she uses! Goodreads Link Mammoth by Brian McBride I discovered this book series last year! Book one and two came out within months of each other and book three is coming out in October!!!! I cannot wait! If you like adventure, mystery, found family and kids making a difference, this is for you! Goodreads Link A Prayer Unanswered by Kellyn Roth Kellyn Roth is one of my favorite authors, and I stand by this statement *hugs my collection since she lives too far away* This book hit me personally in a very out of context way, but anywho, I highly recommend <3 Goodreads Link Wind Chimes by Victoria Minks This was one of the first indie published books I ever read and Victoria was my first author buddy! And this is still one of my favorite Christmas books AND NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT IT *halo* so yes, please go buy this book! Goodreads Link Come back tomorrow for more book recommendations!

If I’ve read it, I will let you know my thoughts and if not, I’ll get you what information I can! I haven't done many buddy reads in my life, but somehow I was able to come up with five to share with you today XD Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson If I remember correctly, this was my first buddy read! It was such a fun read too! I've not read a lot of classics, and this was one of my first in that category as well. I loved the Scottish accents, the Jacobite history and overall mystery of the story. I mean kidnapped by your uncle and shipped off to sea? It's an adventure you won't soon forget! Goodreads Link The Dog Crusoe and His Master by R. M. Ballantyne This buddy read is one I never would have picked up if not for friends urging me to. I'm so glad they did! I loved this book so much! I actually want to reread it again, I loved it so much! It's set on the western prairie and explores the relationships of the settlers, the Indians and those who tried to ruin it! Goodreads Link Enemy Brothers by Constance Savery This book wasn't exactly my favorite (me and Brits don't get along that well XD) but it wasn't a bad book in the least! I enjoyed reading it with Katja, because she was able to explain a lot of their reasoning, even if I didn't agree with them XD She was quite patient with me and deserves a medal XD Goodreads Link The Accidental Cases of Emily Abbott by Perry Elizabeth Kirkpatrick This series y'all. I need to reread it because my current reads have been way too serious of late. It's one of those series that is perfect for every season so you don't have an excuse! I have all of the published works to date, but book 9 is in the works! If you love mysteries, spy comedy and a possible slow burn romance (like super slow), this series will be perfect for you! Goodreads Link Falling for the Farmer by Hannah Foster Last year I hosted a book club on Instagram (should I bring that back?) and this was one of our chosen reads! I adored this pure and honest romance that even the most conservative reader will enjoy! I was wholesome, dug deep into questions many don't address and just ahhh! I'm gonna start fangirling XD Goodreads Link Come back tomorrow for more book recs!

If I’ve read it, I will let you know my thoughts and if not, I’ll get you what information I can! ![]() Today we are talking about those precious thrifted gems that we took a chance on and ended up loving! And y'all, I've got some winners! Bataan Death March by James Bollich This book is one of the first books I grabbed at our local Goodwill! I loved it so much...it was sad, heartbreaking...and all you want to do at the end of the autobiography is find this elderly man and give him a hug... There were two words toward the end that I remember. And excellent addition to every family's collection. Goodreads Link Semper Fido by C. Alexander LondonThis was another early thrift pick. I was so surprised and delighted, I bought the whole series! (book 4 is a bust, don't bother XD) There are a few mistakes in the details (an experienced vet might find more, I just found some obvious ones XD) but otherwise, this was an excellent read! It's a great way to introduce young readers to the military and help them appreciate their service! Goodreads Link Blood in the Water by C. Alexander London A series about SEALs and the Marine Mammal program, for kids? Yes please! I personally preferred the first two book, because the last two had some underlined anti-service animal vibes I did not appreciate. They hinted at it in book one (above) and two, but it was heavier in the last two. Anyway! This series is more on the hypothetical side, as the author makes clear, but it's an excellent series none the less! Goodreads Link Behind Enemy Lines: Under Fire in the Middle East by Bill Doyle Somebody apparently wanted to clear out their military collection, cause this is yet another of my early finds XD This book covers true events from the Gulf War to the War on Terror. It's an excellent eye witness collection and great for 12-16 year olds! Goodreads Link War Heroes: Voices from Iraq/Battle Heroes: Voices from Afghanistan by Allan Zullo Apparently I hit the jackpot with this book! This particular edition was a flip book, ten stories on each side and y'all, it's my favorite of all the ones I've mentioned so far! It's eye opening, honest and honestly gripping. All true stories and written in a similar style to the Behind Enemy Lines! Goodreads Links (Iraq) (Afghanistan) Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for more book recs!
