Welcome back to FFF! Per usual, make sure to check out Kate’s blog for more posts and a free book! Today, I’m doing a replacement topic, Indie instead of Fantasy, cause that’s one genre I haven’t read much of. So today, I present you with 5 Indie books you should read! I’m excited to hear your thoughts! Preacher on the Run I’m a Baptist from North Carolina so this book was awesome for me! It covers the history of the Regulators and their influence on the American War for Independence! (Note: there are a few instances where southern phrases are over explained, but it’s okay 😉) The characters are intriguing and the historical content focuses on little known events, which y’all know I love! Definitely worth the read! Goodreads Link Amazon Link Untitled This is the alternate book of the month for my Indie author book club! This book highlights the effects of PTSD, a Christian response to sodomy (Dealt with very gently and very well!) and life as a WWII medic. It’s got a special place in my heart and I was honored to be a Beta-reader for it! Goodreads Link Amazon Link The Accidental Cases of Emily Abbott--Five Star Spy Okay so I love this entire series, but I wanted to highlight The Five Star Spy, book 7 in the series! It’s by far my favorite! Pretty outfits, deep under cover, coffee, Bret with a mustache, does it get better than this?? Please, do yourself a favor and binge this series! Goodreads Link Amazon Link Once I Knew This is a beautiful return to writing by Victoria Lynn! I loved it so much and I can’t wait for book two! It’s a beautiful non-magical fantasy (yes, fantasy, but I didn’t have enough for a full post 😊) is chock full of spiritual warfare and light versus darkness. And Light wins! Goodreads Link Amazon Link The Unexpected Request This is such a fun western! I love me a good western and combine that with Rebekah Morris books and you get a winner! I listened to this one on audio and now I have my own copy and can’t wait to reread it! So, yeah, this is probably one of my top favorite novels by her! What are your favorite Indie books?
