Back in October of 2019, my family had the opportunity to visit the Ark Encounter. Today, I’d like to share some pictures from the trip, a lesson from scripture, and a call to action. Let’s dive in. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:13 King James Bible I love rainbows! It’s wonderful to look outside after the rain and see the beautiful colors blending in perfect harmony. This natural phenomenon is a special gift from God to His followers. When we see it, it is to bring to remembrance what He thinks of sin and what He has promised never to do again. Sadly, today, many forget the lesson and the promise. Why don’t we review them? 1| There was a Problem. And its name was sin. That is the age-old issue from which every problem stems. Immorality, gluttony, idolatry, violence, calling good evil and evil good, you name it they had it (sound familiar?). And at long last (Approx. 2800 years!) God had had enough. He decided to destroy the earth and everything on it. That’s pretty serious stuff. Sounds like today. What great mercy God has to keep this earth from destruction once more. We must get down on our knees in thanks, and supplication for God to heal our land as He promised His people which are called by His Name. (I know this is old testament{II Chronicles 7:14}, but we as Christians are called by His Name, and therefore, this promise is for us!{See Romans 15:4, Galatians 3:29, 1 Peter 2:9, John 1:12-13, Jude 1}) We must humble ourselves and pray, seeking His face and turning from our wicked ways. THEN will He hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land. Oh, for the sake of our Country, let us repent and seek God! 2| There was a Plan. God decided to destroy the earth, but He also chose to preserve humanity through a Faithful man named Noah. He, his wife, three sons, and their wives would be the soul fathers and mothers of mankind. Likewise, for our sinful condition, God had a remedy. Jesus Christ would be the means of multiplying the family of God by giving His Life for us. He suffered, bled, and died for us. He was buried and rose again, providing a way for us to live with Him, and reach others with the Glorious News of the Gospel! 3| There was a Promise. When all was said and done, God set a Rainbow in the sky as a sign of His covenant never to destroy the earth by flood again! What a promise to an undeserving creation! What mercy He bestowed! And just as God promised never to flood the earth, He has promised that once you are saved, you will never be cast out! Your salvation is eternal! (See John 10:27-29, John 6:37, John 5:24, John 3:16, Romans 8:38-39, II Corinthians 1:22, I John 5:13) Now, my call to action. Are you willing to proclaim the symbolism of the Rainbow, reclaiming it for the cause of Christ? Will you share the story of God’s promise with those around you and the Gospel Message that is far greater? I don’t mean shoving your beliefs down people’s throat, but kindly, in Christian love, reminding those around you that the Rainbow isn’t a bad thing and that God still saves sinners, just like He saved Noah and His family. It’s time for Christians to Reclaim the Rainbow. What will you do to remind others today? Now, how about those pictures?! The first picture is our first look at the Ark. The second is a close up. Picture three is a rainbow and a plate of desserts at Emzarah's Cafe! Number 4 is from the Japheth display. and the last one is the break down of the different decks. There are more pictures, but this is all I have at the moment!
Any way, I hope you have a lovely weekend and Lord's Day! In Christ, Ryana Lynn Jude 22 Comments are closed.
