Hello! Just popping in to inform you that the whole month of April is dedicated to some very special unsung heroes...the Military kid! Having lived near a military base for four years, I've gotten very close to many military kids (I'm actually an army grand-brat :) {The title of Grand-Brat should totally be a thing!|) Anyway, these kids go through so much, I think it's so wonderful that we have a whole month dedicated to them! April 15th was the official day to celebrate, but I'm thankful it's an all month thing, or I would have totally missed it! Imagine not really having a place you called home. I've lived in several places, but I've always referred to my hometown in North Carolina as "Home". It's where I was born, and my family is there. Well, Military kids don't have that, because their parents get moved around ever so often by the DOD and they have to readjust to a whole new world! You may have noticed a difference in the color scheme I'm using today...that's because Purple is the official color for the Military Kid! To show your support and respect for the Military child and "Purple Up!" as the campaign says and wear some purple :) If you have a blog/website, I challenge you to change up your color scheme :) When their loved one is overseas, it's hard for the kids to handle, and yet they are so strong, keeping their chins up and praying for a safe return. Just watch some welcome home videos on the internet. It's so sweet to see those walls of strength dissolve into happy tears when daddy comes home. The smiles, hugs, exclamations of delight and the tears will melt your heart and make your day!
In conclusion, if you see a military kid out there, or know one, send them a note to tell them how much you appreciate their American Sacrifice in giving up their loved one to keep us safe. They may not fully get it now, but one day, they will:) Shout out to some Military kids I've known over the years: Sophia, Iris, Mary Rose, Amanda, Seth, Taylor, Walker, T.J., Joseph, Grace, Rose, Max, Michael, Emma, London...and so many more. God Bless you and keep you safe and strong, even after your loved one has come home and their time of service is up. You are a true unsung hero! I appreciate your sacrifice! Saluting my Heritage, Ryana Lynn Jude 22 P.S. Thank you so much to all those who tuned in and gave to our FBN Spring Share-a-thon! It turned out amazing! By God's Grace, we were able to raise funding through October 15th, 2018! God is so good! www.fbnradio.com Comments are closed.
