I’m going to do things a little differently this month for our devotional. This month, I am simply going to give you some scripture references and a music video. This is not the original score of "O the Deep Deep Love of Jesus" but I was unable to find a decent on of the original. This one is a new tune; don’t worry, it’s not contemporary or ungodly in anyway and personally helps me focus on the message of the song easier. Without further ado, lets dive in to a look at the Word of God and the pen of a Hymn-writer!
All Scripture Taken from the King James Bible
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:19
We love him, because he first loved us.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
